The Power of Group Training

Consistency is the hardest part of running. When you have a group waiting for you at Koola Park, you show up. We provide the accountability you need to turn training into a habit.

Expert Guidance

Led by coaches with over 20 years experience, our sessions are adapted to your fitness level. We ensure you are pushing your limits safely, with a heavy focus on running mechanics to keep injuries at bay.

A Range of Abilities

Don’t worry about “holding the group back.” Our interval formats (like loops, relays, and time-based efforts) keep everyone close together. The fast runners run further, but we all start and finish at the same time.

“I love coming to our running groups each week. The variety is fantastic, and the company is great. I consider myself very lucky to be running with such a supportive group of women.”.
-Denise, East Killara

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is Hooked on Running a club or a training group?

A: We are both! While we are structured as an expert-led interval training group with certified coaches, we also function as a supportive running club. We provide the camaraderie and accountability of a club, with the specific, results-driven programming of a personal coach.

Q: I’m worried about injury or holding the group back.

A: Our coaching specializes in the 40+ runner. We prioritize structural integrity and running economy. Our variety of session formats guarantees that a sub-20 minute runner and a 40-minute runner can train side-by-side, getting a fantastic workout without anyone holding anyone back.

Q: How fast do I need to be?

A: You do not need to be a superstar. Because we train by time and effort (not just distance), the group stays together regardless of speed. We will never go out on a group run and leave anyone behind!
