Kirsten’s on a mission to have more women be astounded by their own achievements. She’ll work with you towards goals you never thought possible. She doesn’t believe that every session should be harder than the last, nor does she believe in making excuses.
Kirsten has over 13 years’ experience working in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer, massage therapist and nutritionist, and has been a keen sports participant from a very young age. From her previous life in corporate management she brings a sharp edge to the business, with immeasurable energy, focus, and a personal touch that’s second to none. As a proprietor of Hooked on Running, Kirsten provides a multitude of skills, holding a BA, Certificate IV in Personal Training, Certificate IV in Remedial Massage, Diploma of Nutrition, and is a qualified Pilates Instructor.
Kirsten has competed at a high level in a number of sports including Rugby Union, beach sprint and surf boat rowing. She came to age group running after giving birth to her second child. She loves fun runs from 4km to the half marathon, and runs most of the local fun runs with her sons Wilson (11) and Saxon (8)
Richard has been running and coaching others in the sport he loves for over 30 years. He’s passionate about kids and adults alike reaching their full potential, without burnout.
Richard has a wealth of experience coaching kids running, having run kids running training sessions for the last 4 years. He was also the Wakehurst Little A’s middle distance coach from 2013-2015.
Whilst he’s trained several state level athletes, Richard believes it’s important that all kids, whatever their level, develop a love of exercise. He’s expert at giving kids the type of training they need, whilst making sure the fun factor isn’t lost.
Richard’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) from the University of Wollongong, Certificate IV Personal Training, Athletics Australia Level III Middle and Long Distance Track Coach, Level II Strength and Conditioning Coach and Level II Sprints Hurdles Relays. He also lectured at TAFE NSW across a broad range of health and fitness subjects.
Richard runs as a preferred runner in many of the local fun runs, and is enjoying new found success, having just ventured into a new age category!!
